Monitoring and autonomy solutions for disabled and elderly
Blood tests are essential for medical processes. They provide a thorough overview of a patient’s health status and are essential for every step of a patient’s journey, from screening to diagnosis and monitoring. However, traditional blood testing methods are time-consuming and unsuitable for emergency setups, frequent assessment or decentralized care. To bridge the gap, Omini is developing portable biosensors for immediate blood tests at the patient’s bedside. Our core technology is highly sensitive and can be modified to measure combinations of biomarkers from small drops of liquid, like blood. Through patented processes, we have made it possible to produce our sensors on a large scale at an affordable cost. Our multisensoring technology will pave the way towards decentralizing patient care and will bring us a step forward towards preventive, predictive, and personalized medicine.
And as the elderly population is currently growing at an unprecedented rate, there is an urgent need to develop new tools for early diagnosis, prevention and monitoring. So we are currently building a multisensor to monitor those suffering from one or several health issues such as dyslipidemia, heart failure, hypertension or diabetes. Our vision is to enable a frequent yet comfortable assessment of key biomarkers for better disease management.

Omini was founded by Anna Shirinskaya (PhD in bioelectronics) and Joanne Kanaan (PhD in biochemistry) during the first cohort of Entrepreneur First in Paris.
